Up Close – Goldrausch 2025
Galerie im Körnerpark
Schierker Str. 8, 12051 Berlin
Text
Goldrausch Künstlerinnenprojekt presents the works of this year’s participants in its 35th edition of the renowned program in a group exhibition at Galerie im Körnerpark. The exhibition is curated by Yolanda Kaddu-Mulindwa and Mona Hermann.
Fifteen international, Berlin-based women artists working in Berlin showcase current work — on display is painting on canvas, large-scale photography, multimedia and sculptural installations, performances, research-based videos, and drawings. The exhibits presented sharpen the eye towards new and unexpected contexts. In its variety of motifs and media, “Up Close” is noted as a shared approach on many levels: a close investigation of one’s own biography, of social realities and political struggles, and in general, of topics that require careful attention.
The Goldrausch Künstlerinnenprojekt promotes the advancement of outstanding artistic positions by women and FLINTA. It is an independent professional development program for visual artists, featuring a one-year postgraduate professionalization course, an exhibition, and public events. Fifteen artists can participate each year.
In 2025, das Künstlerinnenprojekt celebrates its 35th anniversary! Since 1989, the program has supported more than 525 artists in their professional paths and created a unique network which strengthens feminist exchange, mutual support and the public presence of work by women artists. Over the years, numerous exhibitions have been realized at many different venues — across eight of Berlin’s twelve districts, ranging from project spaces to the Gropius Bau.
This exhibition is a collaboration between the Goldrausch Künstlerinnenprojekt and the Department of Culture of the Neukölln District Office, Berlin.
